Running shorts

We are all busy. I get it. I won't bore you with the details of what I do for a job, but what I would say to you is this...

Your job does not define you. No more than your marital status, your kids, your fitness, your health or your religion.

You define you.

You can wake up each day and get to choose who and what you will be. How you will deal with situations and opportunities that arise; or don't for that matter.

I'm a runner and have been for 5 years. I started late in life but thats ok, I'm still a runner.

Over the past 12 months I somehow convinced myself I have no time to enjoy running. It became a chore and after a few years of running some great events in times I was pleased with I lost my mojo. I defined myself as someone who used to enjoy running, but now doesn't have the time.

And you know what happened? I stopped enjoying running and didn't have the time.

Which would be fine except, I still have some challenges I want to complete.

So here is how I define myself. I am a runner, but I am short on time.

I want to show you that training for a run can fit in around the other aspects of your life. Whether it's alternative training methods, motivation or advice that you need, this blog will give ways to overcome these barriers.

If you are short on time, are interested in finding improvements in your running or just want to follow my progress, watch out for a series of short posts in the run up to the race.
